Fish Friday (and not just for your Lenten Fridays either!)

I went to Bed Bath & Beyond one day looking for… I forget what. I think it was a throw fleece blanket or queen-sized bed sheets as a gift.  I didn’t find either, but I did find The Chef Basket for $4.99.  Now if it was a penny over 5 bucks, I wasn’t going to get it, but for 5 smackers PLUS I had a 20% coupon? No. Brainer.

Ingredients:

  • Fish fillet (cod)
  • Flour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • Oil (preferably corn or canola)

Here’s how you want to line up your ingredients into the fryer.

Get good coverage of the breading mix all over your fish– flour, breadcrumbs, and any other savory season you’d like.

Place it gently into the oil making sure not to make a splash. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
